Dress

I totally forgot to take step by step pictures
but I have other ones to make so I will make sure I do it then.

I have some old shirts that are getting short and some fabric I never did anything with.
So I measured the widest part of my body.... my butt and hips.
Cut the fabric to that measurement and sewed together.
The waist was huge but then you find on the shirt
where you want it to be and fold a little and sew and fold a little more and sew.
to cinch the fabric around the waist. hem the length where you want it.

Then add a cute belt to cover the ugly connecting line between shirt and skirt
And it turns out super cute!

my swimsuit

I was getting sick of looking at swimsuits that were not modest,
Even the one pieces had a plunging neck line.
The ones I loved....they were around $70 just for the top.

So I went and got a yard of two colors at $3.99/each.
So total my top came to less then $10.
I lined the inside with the plain white to give it a little extra support.
I traced a undershirt that fit me perfect with freezer paper and used that as my stencil for the swim fabric.
I love how it turned out!
